Hazardous waste drop-off in Dorval

A household hazardous waste (HHW) drop-off will take place in Dorval on Aug. 29.
Only domestic waste will be accepted with the collection. Residues from industries and other businesses will be refused.
Residents may bring in such items as oven cleaners, disinfectants, aerosols, medication, oil or latex paint leftovers, varnishes, rust inhibitors, strippers, oils, thinners, solvents, preservatives, acids. gasoline, fuel, antifreeze, brake fluid, motor oil, batteries as well as weed killers, insecticides, fungicides, rat poison, pool maintenance products, full or empty propane gas tanks;
Do not mix or pour household hazardous wastes into other containers as it may cause dangerous chemical reactions or prevent the them from being recycled or reused. Empty hazardous waste containers are not accepted and should be disposed of with the regular garbage pick-up.
The drop-off will take place Aug. 29,from noon to 8 p.m., in the parking lot of Ballantyne Park located on 520 Bouchard Boulevard in Dorval. For information: (514) 633-4046
