A 22-year-old man is in stable condition after being stabbed
at about 12:50 a.m. yesterday at the corner of Pierrefonds Blvd. and
Coulon St. in Pierrefonds. According to police, the incident stemmed
from an argument following a party the victim had attended. The
victim was stabbed in the neck and lower back. Minutes later, police
arrested four male suspects, ranging from 15 to 22 years old, at a
bus stop at the corner of Fox St. and Pierrefonds Blvd. "The
relationship between all of them is unknown at this time, and the
reason for the fighting is unknown," said Constable Yannick Ouimet
of the Montreal police. "The victim suffered serious injuries but
... we do not fear for his life." Police are considering the
incident attempted murder. Specific charges will be laid this
morning, followed by the arraignment this afternoon.
